Who we are

NemaLED is a Canadian business-to-business distributor of certified industrial and hazardous-location LED lighting. We operate the website nemaled.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

Information you provide to us

When you submit a quote request, contact form, or resource request, we collect the information you enter: your name, company, work email address, phone number, and the project details you describe (such as facility type, dimensions, mounting heights, and current fixtures). We also keep the emails you send us.

We ask only for what we need to answer you and to prepare an accurate quote or lighting plan.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting and security infrastructure records technical request data, including IP addresses, browser information, pages requested, approximate region and timestamps.

We also record individual page views and product, specification, search, filter, contact and inquiry interactions using random visit and browser-tab identifiers. These records can include the referring hostname and campaign or advertising click identifiers. We may associate the IPv4 and IPv6 network addresses observed for the same event. Search terms, form contents and complete address query strings are not included in these event records.

An inquiry reference can connect an accepted request with the preceding visit and campaign. We use this measurement to understand product interest, assess advertising and investigate suspicious traffic. An address or browser identifier does not establish a person's identity.

Cookies and advertising measurement

The site uses cookies and browser storage for functions such as remembering your language preference, protecting forms against automated abuse and recording your consent choice.

With your optional tracking consent, we store a random identifier for this site in your browser for up to 30 days to recognize return visits. Withdrawing that choice removes this optional identifier before further measurement. The other visit measurement described above uses browser-tab memory and can continue without this stored identifier.

The Google advertising tag uses Consent Mode, with optional advertising and analytics storage denied until you accept. Google can receive measurement signals without advertising cookies while storage is denied. When you accept, Google advertising tools can use cookies, and a captured advertising click identifier can be kept in your browser for up to 90 days and included with an inquiry. We use advertising measurement to assess campaigns and support relevant advertising. You can manage Google's ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. Your site choice is kept for 12 months and can be changed through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Google user data and our internal tools

NemaLED uses internal tools that connect to Google services (such as the Google Ads API) through Google sign-in. These tools access, use, and store only the data of NemaLED's own Google accounts — for example, our own advertising account's keywords, statistics, and campaign settings — with the authorization of the account owner. They do not access, request, or store Google user data belonging to any other person, and nothing obtained from Google APIs is sold or shared with third parties. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to your requests, prepare quotes and lighting plans, send the documentation you ask for, communicate with you about products and projects, improve the site, protect it against abuse, and measure our advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the ones described here.

Sharing and hosting

We share information with service providers that operate our website, protect it, deliver email and process measurement. These include Axiom for technical event analytics, Google for advertising measurement and Fraud Blocker for click-abuse detection. Inquiry references and validated visit context can also be retained with our private inquiry records and email delivery records. Providers may store or process information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States.

Retention

Our local visit-event store deletes records after 30 days. The optional browser identifier described above expires after at most 30 days. These limits do not apply to copies held by hosting, analytics or email providers, private inquiry records, correspondence or saved reports. Those records have separate retention arrangements. Quote requests and business correspondence are retained as commercial records. Contact sales@nemaled.ca with questions about a particular record or a deletion request.

Your rights

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Write to sales@nemaled.ca and we will respond promptly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Commercial email

We send commercial electronic messages only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Every commercial message we send includes a working unsubscribe mechanism, and we honour unsubscribe requests promptly.

Security

The site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it to serve you, and the site is protected by bot and abuse detection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If we make a significant change, we will make it clearly visible on this page.
